Hihiz! How are y'all today??

Hi peoplez!
How are YOU today?!
:D

I has a rockin' vid vid for you!!
I wish I could embed it.
But this vid didn't come from YouTube.
Clicky here and see.
If you can find this vid on YouTube, PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*ahem*

I gives you a synopsis.
This will be of great interest to anyone who can't see the vid.

The FIRST thing you will notice is that Duncan and Pauly are in the shower, or in a locker room. How does one notice this??
There's water falling on Paul, and he's very, very wet. :p
Duncan, on the other hand, is only slightly wet.

And he has a secret for us. Maybe Paul, too.
He says that his favorite festival is Creation.
"Creation East, Creation West, it's the best!!"
Paul immediately pipes up, with...
"That rhymes!"
XD

And Dunny thinks it's hilarious, too.
"That's right!" He replies between his chuckles. Then, he adds, "Hey, that was good!"
Then Dunny turns back to us as Paul replies something unintelligible, and tells us the guys have been playing Creation since 1989.
"And you know what? There was a couple of years that we couldn't play, and I was just trying to remember the first year..."
Pauly interrupts him with the answer. Rather abruptly, I might add.
"1995!"
"Was it?" Dunny asks.
"1995 was the first year newsboys didn't play, due to a washout. Rain." Paul replies matter-of-factly. Duncan piggy-backs off this information.

"1995, and then the second year, we couldn't play --"
"2006!" Paul interrupts again.
"Mate!" Duncan is astounded. Then, they say "2006!" silmoultaneously.
"We couldn't play," Dunny continues, "because one other year, we had to play at Hershey Park --"
"2003!"
Duncan repeats what his colleague blurted out.

"But anyway, wanted to let you know that we're absolutely ecstatic to be here, we got a new record out, called GO, and we're gonna be playing a lot of the songs, probably most of the songs off the record at Creation East this year, so... absolutely excited all about that, but... you know what, Paul?"
Dunny turns to Paul yet again.
"I think it's time, right now, for you to take us out, with something they might expect to hear at Creation."

So Pauly leans back and allows the water falling on top of him to enter his mouth, and he starts gurgling the tune to "Shine" in his mouth, ending it with the simulation of an explosion, spitting the water out of his mouth.
"Hopefully, it's NOTHING like that."
Then, Paul and Dunny do a knuckle-touch, and start laughing, as the video fades out.

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for...

OUTTAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outtake 1:
Duncan: "Hello, Creation!!"
Paul: "Hang on, hang on... I'm burning up..." *turns to adjust something*
Duncan: "We're burning."
*Paul laughs*

Outtake 2:
*Duncan makes a weird face and noise*
Duncan: "We're just great..."

Outtake 3:
*Paul and Dunny laughing*
Paul: Hang on! I gotta get my serious face on."
*Paul rubs his face, then slaps himself hard, "serious" face on*
*Duncan starts twitching to reflect how hard the slap was*
*Both start laughing again*

Outtake 4:
Duncan: "Hello, Creation --"
Paul: "Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on..."
Duncan: "Aw, mate! You alright?"
*Paul laughs*
Duncan: "Somethin's wrong with (inintelligible)?"

Outtake 5:
Duncan: "Hello, Creation --"
*Paul starts waving his hand around and stuttering a "stop!"*
Duncan: "Oh, my gosh..."

Outtake 6:
Paul: "Okay."
*The room is silent, except for the sound of the water running over Paul*
Paul: *starts cracking up, points at Duncan* "Don't look at me like that!! I was alright!!" *hasn't taken his eyes off the camera*
Duncan: *laughing, then stares at Paul incredulously* "How'd you know I was looking at you?? You weren't even looking over at me, just --"
Paul: "I can feel it!! I can feel the how."
Duncan: "Really?"
Paul: "Yeah!"
*both start laughing again*

Outtake 7:
Duncan: "Man, I lost my train of thought, now. Really, really bites."
Paul: "Ohh... well, we love Creation festival, right??"
Duncan: "We do. Love Creation festival..." *looks at Paul again*
Paul: *after a second of silence* "As a matter of fact --"
*Duncan starts cracking up again, Paul joins in*
Duncan: "Oh, stop it!!"

END.

Wasn't that a great vid?? :p :p

EDIT!!
Verja's older bloggies made me do this... cuz I was bored. XD:

30 August 2008

PICS! Hooray!

I finally managed to get some camera skillz. XD I have pics now! I show you...

Remember Princess?? Well, here's what she looks like:

The room she's in is mine, by the way. And that's a Boys will be Boyz poster closest to her in the background. XD I intend on annoying Pete with it. :p

Princess is probably one of the most skittish cats I know. As I said before, she's semi-wild and we got her for free at a yardsale. The first name she had was Hissy, poor little thing. And she was also called Flower. But that's not her name. It's Princess. :D

And the other pet I've blogged about before, Joey. He's my doggy. Here HE is:

Doesn't he have a nice face?? He kept blinking when he looked directly at the camera, so it isn't exactly a direct stare. He used to be really, really photogenic... but not anymore. Like I've said before, he's 7 years old now. But he's FILLED with boundless energy. I have another pic of him, too!
If that isn't cute... I don't know WHAT is!

And my other dog, Trixy... I've mentioned her before, too. Two pics of her:

"What?? What are you looking at?!" XD

I has other cats, too, besides Princess.
THIS is Roscoe:

He's our kitten. He found the little rope thing on the side of the camera, so that's why his paw's in the air. XD

And THIS is our siamese, Patter:

No one usually catches her playful side. BE GRATEFUL you got her playful side.
She is our OLDEST pet. I think she's 9 now. Or 10. I lost track. XD

And our last cat? Let's call him Puma. This is Puma:

Black thing, eh? He reminds me of what I think Mr. Kim looks like. XD

I have pics of our cockatiels, too!!!
Freddie and Baby. That's their names. Freddie's the gray and white one you won't be able to see very well. :p

That pic of Baby is WAY better! XD

And I have a couple more, then I shall call it quits for tonight's bloggin' session.
This is Joey AND Princess. TOGETHER! Remember when I said Joey grooms Princess??

See what I mean?! Joey does this all the time. But my LAST pic for you has to be the cutest shot EVER! Once-in-a-lifetime shot. If you don't think THIS is cute, I suggest you seek medical help immediately. And it wouldn't help to check your pulse, too. XD

CUTENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*ahem*

I also have pics of myself now. HOORAY!
If you want a pic of me, tell me. I will NOT post my pic on my blog, where peeps I don't WANT to see it can see it. SUFFER, psychocreeps! SUFFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That will be all.

XD XD
Another random title. I like this title! XD

I decided I wanna add a new feature to my blog. "Random Quotes," I'll call it. And I'll start off with a really funny George Bush quote. Thank goodness for my Law&Justice class! It's a blast. :D
And yes, I'm aware that that rhymes.

See the new taggie? It's self-explanatory, and whenever it's down there, it means this blog came from school. HOORAY! :D :D

And, err... if I were at home, I'd list the highlights to my chat with netsirK and Verja. Boy, it's like a barrel o' monkeys! We made up a new word: googballs. XD XD A Verja-sponsored typo-turned into a new word! XD

And, uh... I think that's all I need to note!

It's another song...

Hey! Acoustichick!! And netsirK, while I'm at it!
I have a song that might interest some of the little kids you two babysit. ;)

Surely, y'all know Phil Joel has a kid's album out, called deliberateKids. I've heard a portion of the opening track on KLove, considering that their morning show (Jon and Sherry Rivers in the morning) begin their morning show with part of the song (Jon, seriously, you need to quit singin' along... I'm glad you haven't sang along in a while. :p).
This song helps me get up in the morning SO much quicker. See, on the east coast, the KLove morning show begins at 6 AM... I get up at ten to 6 now... because my mom drives the bus and all. So I have TEN MINUTES to pile myself and anything my mom needs in the car in the car, start the puppy up, then happily sing along to that song. I think it's only about 15 or 20 seconds, but it made me fall in love with it the minute I first heard it and realized it was PHIL'S voice singing the song. :D :D

So anyways... the WHOLE song is approximately one minute and 55 seconds. It took me forever to work up the guts to listen to the whole thing. But I'm glad I did!!

You wanna hear the whole thing too, but don't have the album? Go here and press CONTROL, then the F key (for PC users... netsirK, you have a Mac, so I can't help you. :(). In the little box that appears, type in the title of the song: "Good Morning." ;) Trust me, you'll find it. And if you can't, go here.

Here are lyrics, just in case you wanna... well, y'know. :D

This is a morning like no other!
Never again will it be here!
So let's get movin',
Let's get goin'!
Don't let the daylight disappear!

Good mornin'!
(Good mornin'!)
Good mornin'!
(Good mornin'!)
Good mornin'!
(Goor mornin'!)
There will BE! NO! YAWNING!
(Ohhhkay...!)

Cuz IT'S!! A!!
Good, good, good, good, good, good mornin'!
It's a good, good, good, good, good, good mornin'!

A good, good, good, good, good, good mornin'!
It's gonna be a very good day!
Cuz You're a good, good, good, good, good, good God!
A good, good, good, good, good, good God!
A good, good, good, good, good, good God!
You are a very good God!

Let us remember
Why we are here today!
(Kids: Why??)
We are here to sing,
And we are here to praise!
(Kids: Who??)
Our God in Heaven,
So let me hear you say,

(Kids: YEAH!!)
He is our King,
And the Maker of today!

It's a good, good, good, good, good, good mornin'!
It's a good, good, good, good, good, good morning!

A good, good, good, good, good, good mornin'!
It's gonna be a very good day!
Cuz You're a good, good, good, good, good, good God!
A good, good, good, good, good, good God!
A good, good, good, good, good, good God!
You are a very good God!

Good mornin'!
(Good mornin'!)
Good mornin'!
(Good mornin'!)
Good mornin'!!
(Good mornin'!)

There will be. no. YAWNING!

Yah, you MUST be tired of seeing the word "good" right now. XD
But it's really upbeat, really cool. Hey, the mere MENTION of it gets me up in the morning!
So give it a try! It's fun!!

First Day O' School...

Well, I'm back from my first day of school. It went pretty good for my first day of high school!!

But then there was the afternoon...

My mom drives for elementary, middle, AND high school now. And when she came in to my school, she picked me up plus about 46 other kids. Well... she had to go to that middle school and pick up kids from there, too. So... she was between a rock and a hard place, and had to go to the middle school for absolutely NO reason whatsoever, and it took awhile to get the kids home.

And THEN, as we pull into Mom's last school of the day, one of the elementary school kids she's supposed to take home turned up missing. And, of course, it fell on her shoulders.
But then, the girl was found somwhere she wasn't supposed to be; but it wasn't her fault (*sarcasm* Shocker! */sarcasm*), some teacher loaded her in the wrong vehicle. What else is new?

So, it was crazy, and I ended up being crabbier than usual. So now I'm in hot water... please pray that I do a little better with my temper tomorrow...

On a lighter note: I think I'll be able to keep my old iPod working for the next two weeks. I sure hope I get a new one!!

3 blogs in 1 day!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I was reading one of my mom's magazines and found an advertisement for a medicinal product... I made it funny, too!

Here's what was supposed to be read (I don't mind if you skip this):

"Clots that block off arteries are the main cause of heart attack. And now that you've had a heart attack you are at a greater risk for having another that can be fatal. That's why your doctor may put you on PLAVIX along with your other heart medicines. Taking PLAVIX with your other heart medicines goes beyond what other heart medicines alone can do to keep blood platelets from sticking together and forming dangerous clots."

I know. Boring, right? Well, here's the way I wanted to read it (and you HAVE to read this part):

"Clots that block off arteries are the other heart medicines. Taking PLAVIX main cause of heart attack. And now with your heart medicines goes that you've had a heart attack you are beyond what other heart medicines at a greater risk of having another that alone can do to keep blood platelets can be fatal. That's why your doctor from sticking together and forming may put you on PLAVIX along with your dangerous clots."

XD XD
Nonohoicha has already seen this. I showed her on Skype! XD

Oh, good news: My iPod cooperated with me when I turned it on this morning! w00t!! :D
I hope it continues to cooperate for the next 15 days... *sigh*

I took Verja's attitude. I blog when the MOOD strikes meh! XD

It was funny!
Mom showed me the box of tissues that my little sister (she's in 1st grade now) has to take to school tomorrow. It was decorated with HANNAH MONTANA! *eek*

You should've heard my screams of terror!
I DETEST HANNAH MONTANA! GREATLY!
Oh, it was funneh.
And that's it. Again.

2 WEEKS!!

Until Pete's birthday. Not mine. When school starts, it'll be two weeks away.
I AM SO PSYCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, why can't it be two Mondays from now already?! *stares at calender, picks it up and shakes it* HUUUUUURRRRRYYYYYY UUUUUUPPPP!!

Ok...
Earlier today, is was raining.
YAAAY, rain!
I loves the rain. It's fun to run around like a crazed idiot in the middle of a downpour. And unlike poor netsirK, who's been suffering from rain all summer, we in NC are in a drought, so I'm even MORE excited about rain!
I love the feeling of wet. I don't know why! I just do. It feels goooooooood. XD

So, anyways, on a more sour note.

My iPod is beginning to give out on me!! :( :( It's served me well for almost a year now.
I got it on September 7th, I think, for my birthday last year. I would've got it on my actual birthday, but Mom thought ahead. We were heading to Myrtle Beach for my birthday (w00t!), and she knew an empty iPod would be no good (my dad's laptop doesn't have iTunes, and Dad makes sure it doesn't.), so she gave it to me early. With my name engraved on it! I call it my "nametag."
But now, it's giving out! Oh, if it could just hold on for 15 more days!! Pleeeeaaase, buddy, don't conk out on me yet! :(

Ok. That be it.

*wracks brain*

Ai... can't really think of anything good...

My legs are hurting terribly. I can barely walk without searing pain. Stairs are murder... obstacles, murder... and it just makes me feel really depressed. :(

Uhh...
Hmm...

SCHOOL STARTS TUESDAY! AAAAAAHHHHHHH! I wish I could stay on the school bus the whole day.

What's that? "Why is the school bus so pleasurable to me?"
We-e-ell...

Number one, my mother makes a living as a school bus driver, which makes it MUCH more pleasureable... and somwhat less, since my mother takes pride in telling me about EVERYTHING she comes into contact with... and it drives me CRAAAAZY! *snort*

But more importantly, as long as I'm left alone for most of the ride, I can get some REALLY good times just by listening to my iPod.
See, as demonstrated in my last blog, I only have nb, and their member's solo projects, on my iPod (I tend to be a purist with that sorta thing), so I'm infinitely happy to sit there and listen to nb songs until I get back to where the bus checks out for the night. XD
I can't count how many times I've listened to "You're Still There" and felt so incredibly peaceful during the whole thing. Click the song title, and note the song credit! Johnny James wrote that whole thing!!

And for those of you who have NO clue who I'm talking about...
Go here, first of all.
See that link on the lefthand side that says "john james"? Click that.
Then click where it says, "Our bio page: John James..."
ALL you need to know about John is there. I miss him. I do.

So, there ya go. :D That be it for meh...

WOOHOOOOOOO!

...And the people sing!
XD

Well, I'm back from that lock-in I told you mates about...

AND I HAD A BLAST!!

I'm looking forward to doing something like that in the not-so-distant future. That rocked. Out loud. Much like the fact that my birthday is directly AFTER Peter's. XD Anyways.

I came up there around five to seven PM. And therefore, I was the first kid there. :) Then again,
I prefer being early to being late, so it's not unusual. As the next two hours passed, people began flooding in, and it was getting to be a packed house. Which is the best thing ever.
Later on, the girls were edged out to the second building (remember: our church has three buildings... we were using the last two.). We went down to the Youth Room and settled in there. Then, little by little, we all went back into the third building. I, being the group loner, stayed back as long as I could get away with, listening to live "Shine" and "Secret Kingdom" in there.
And we waited for our food, which was being grilled. :D And I was walkin' around in boredom (it's just SO easy for me to be bored. I need a challenge to keep me entertained. Or something completely hilarious), and I noticed one of the other girls, Anna (that's not her real name), sitting on the edge of the stairwell. One of the two wheelchairs which were out had ran over her toe. She asked me to accompany her back to the Youth Room, and I more than happily obliged. We sat there for a few minutes before Rusty's best friend CJ (trust me, he's not much of an improvement over Rusty) came to see why we were in there in the first place. So Anna showed him her middle toe, which had become very red and somewhat swollen at this point.
He urged the both of us (and a certain boy, whose name I won't reveal as of yet, who had followed us in the room) back to the third building, and by this time, the food was ready. I wasn't really all that hungry, so I didn't eat much at all.
When everyone was done, Rusty gathered us up for wheelchair races. That was pretty uneventful. I mean, WHEELCHAIRS!! Anyways. Rusty managed to get us scattered to play the random games. Which included a Wii, an Xbox 360, a ping-pong table, karaoke and board games (which was Rusty's idea, ironically). I went to the Wii room, and watched four other kids play bowling. Dang, it was cool. I didn't want to try then, so I walked off.
Between then (around... 11:30 or something like that) and 1:45 AM, we were all playing in the random rooms. The 360 was mainly being used for Rock Band, and it was pretty loud. And annoying. Long story short, I eventually went to try the Wii, and I loved it. Perhaps I should ask for one soon. And sell my Gamecube.
So, around 1:45, Rusty decided to gather us all up to play group games. First was Capture the Flag. Which was was totally confusing, and worse because there's little room to navigate, it's dark, and everyone loved to talk during the instructions. It was all too much to my already fatigued brain. So during the next game, Sardines, I sat out tiredly with CJ and one of the other girl's mothers.
And by 3:30, I was given the gracious chance to get to bed... I was the first one to crack. But apparently, my 3 hour sleep was the best out of the others. I woke back up around 6:30. I spent one last hour there before I finally went home.
And THAT, my friends, is what happened at last night's lock-in. Right after, when I got home at 7:30, I slept until 1:30. I needed it. So... yes, it was a blast! I can't wait to do one like this again.

The man named Rusty

Nonohoicha asked in my last comment who Rusty was. Well, first thing's first...

THAT'S A GREAT QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, boy, netsirK knows... I could go all NIGHT talking about this dude.
He's my youth leader.
The man is an enigma, frankly. It's VERY tough to understand him unless you're whole personality is centered around sarcasm.
The main things you need to know about Rusty:

  • His real name is Rustin. (netsirK laughed at that. But it's true!) Talk about a unique name.
  • He kinda looks like your typical surfer dude: t-shirts, visor caps, cargo pants, flip-flops. That's Rusty for you.
  • He is a HUGE fan of the NC Tar Heels. Like my mom. *eyes roll*
  • He is VERY sarcastic. And it adds to his somewhat-hilarious personality.
  • When it comes to the nb, he could care less. We often clash on that issue.
  • He's a computer and music geek. He runs a computer business, and last I heard, he was offered a job at a music store. His dream. *eyes roll*
  • He's an Air Force brat. He's been around, definitely (like you, Nonohoicha!).

And man, he annoys me pretty well. But as far as I know, he likes it that way. He's shown me a sensitive side TWICE to date...

  • Once was when my friend Sara died.
  • The other is documented here.

And that is everything I know so far about the man I know as...

Wait for it...

RUSTIN SMITH!

It's Friday...

I know what you're thinking: "Blueh, it's Friday! Shouldn't you be... oh, I dunno... HAPPY?!"

It's true. This is my last free Friday.
But I'm not as happy as I wanna be.
But I should cheer up! Today is Pauly's birthday, after all. :D :D But I'm not. See, if you haven't heard already, my youth group is having a lock-in tonight... I was looking forward to it at the beginning of the week! But Wednesday night, right after youth group... that's when I began having second thoughts. Suffice it to say, I could be happier with Rusty right now.

Well, I could always look on the bright side... like Nonohoicha's doing now... Oh!
I know!
I have a rockin' student ID for my new high school! I gave the little camera a nice, blank stare. Hahaha. Mom says I look like a serial killer. Right, yeah, THAT's what I look like.
I must show you... AS SOON AS WE GET A NEW SCANNER!!

NEW BLOGGY LOOK!

Do ya like the new digs? Poor netsirK didn't guess what my own new layout reminds me of. I'll just give it away to her and nonohoicha now.

They all fall,
Like a million raindrops,
Fallin' from a blue sky,
Kissin' your cares goodbye!

Oh, they all fall,
Like a million pieces,
A tickertape parade, high,
And now you're free to fly!

:D :D
One of my favorite newsboys songs! If you can't guess the song now, netsirK and nonohoicha, I will be utterly surprised... and somewhat ashamed.

In other news...

My mom almost freaked me out a few seconds ago!! I thought she told me my little sister's school teacher taught her so well that she skipped a grade. GASP! Not even I was that good!! Naturally, I was like, "WHAT?!?!"
Luckily, I was mistaken. It was her TEACHER that skipped a grade.
Silly me.

Ah, well. That be it for meh.

For me, school starts back next Tuesday. EEEEEEEK!!! Summer's over?! :( :(

I'm sad. What's more, I start high school. Freshman year... commence your screams.

But, on the bright side, Paul Colman's birthday is this Friday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COLPA!! WE LOVE YOU AND YOUR STARBUCKS-ADDICTED SELF!!

3 WEEKS!!

It is now officially 3 weeks until my birthday!
Sing it with me!:

Little brother, little sister,
Underwater, we go,
Out of our ordinary selves,
Steppin' out,
To when the people sing

Woohooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
And the people sing,
Woohooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
And the times are good!
Woohooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
And the people sing,
Woohooooooooooooooooooooooooo
And the times are good!

I'm excited.
Some time ago, mom told me not to open any packages we get in the mail (she's an avid eBay shopper)... which means she's stockpiling birthday gifts!!

I hope a new iPod is among them. I love my little Shuffle, but it's getting to be way too small. Sadness.

Well, enough about me for right now.

What does the title tell you?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! :p
That's why I put it there. Haha.

So, anyway, I--

Hey, Blue. What's happenin', eh?

Jeff? What, did you forget your Diet Coke or something?

... ... maybe... why do you ask?

Because you interrupted my blogging.

Oh... didn't Paul do that?

Yes. And he got chastised.

And then he chased Jody away from Starbucks.

*sits back* That's the way I recall it, Oinch.

Then he, you, and Dunny went and left him with every other part of his body sore for the past couple of days.

Mmhmm.

Ok. So... what's gonna happen to me??

Oh, nothing...

*bares teeth*

Whoa! Whoa! Temper, temper. You're worse than I am. And that's saying something.

Oh... sorry about that.

At least you apologized. Unlike last time.

Hey, Peter recovered just fine!!

After two weeks of his left hind leg in a bulky sling. That was quite a gash you left. He nearly lost his leg.

Grrrrr...

Humph. Try me, big boy.

:)

Today be Sunday.
YAAAAAY!
And since it is Sunday, why not direct your attention to this GREAT song...

It's called "Jealous."
The song was created in 2005 by an EXCELLENT artist by the name of Phil Joel (ok, I'm biased, I admit, but he really is GOOD!). You have to love what he wrote about the song.

"If there's one song I want people to hear, it's this one."

Phil is an excellent songwriter, and if you think he doesn't have a heart for God, then you need to get out more. :p Kidding.
But really, you have to hear how powerful this song is to truly appreciate the beauty of the lyrics. It was worth all that time Phil says he put into this song to make it PERFECT. It certainly didn't go to waste, that's for sure.
If you wanna look for the album on eBay or Amazon, the album title is the deliberatePeople. album. Just like that! That's how you spell it! Lowercase "the," lowercase "deliberate," Captial "People," followed by that period, then lowercase album.

Check it out! For Phil! For God!!

Blah...

Ai... I'm at a terridble loss.

I have NO clue what to blog!! Gasp.

Perhaps another captioned pic. Tons of peeps have already seen it, but it's still a favorite of mine.

Does it look familiar?? JfH did a caption contest on this same photo.

Coincidence? I think not!

I had it captioned WAY before then. Besides. I was the one that suggested this photo to John DiBiase. And I left THIS caption for the contest. And it didn't get picked... bummer. But the ones they DID pick are hilarious, so I guess it works out.

"Jody... Jody... Can you hear me? We need you back! With Phil gone, we can't reach the hair quota."

Weird mates. But if Jody DID come back, in a crazy, twisted act... in the same shoes Phil was in when he first joined (played only guitar, asked to play bass, thought it was a cinch...). For me, a dream come true. :p

Oh, good. I blogged. About something. Good, my braindead brain actually thought.

Random: I LOST MY TBN!! I'm mad. My Saturday mornings were spent watching the little kids shows they show EVERY Saturday mornings (and mid-afternoons) on TBN, and now it went to the higher channels! I miss my shows. And I miss my Steelroots Top 10 countdown on INSP. Snarl.

Hmm...

I'm at a loss... howzabout...

Ooh! Ooh! I know! I'll pull the exact same stunt I did on my second blog, but instead of doing it to Nonohoicha, I do it to Verja. Hahahaha. And note: when I do this, it's actually meant to be an indirect form of flattery. Think of it as a compliment. :p
I saw this Verja blog, and my brain hatched this:

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A NEWSBOYS FANATIC WHEN:

1. There is only one thing on your Christmas list: a black designer cowboy hat.
2. Half of the clothes you usually wear are of SOME shade of black.
3. You find yourself in Starbucks, looking for Paul.
4. (FOR CA PEEPS ONLY) You wander into your local In-N-Out just to search for Duncan.
5. You're bored and the only thing you want to do is draw your favorite newsboy.
6. You try to learn the indie version of "Shine" by watching the Go DVD over and over again.
7. You can recite each and every line of any given nb podcast. Especially if they feature your favorite newsboy.
8. Whenever you shop, you tend to look for either vegemite or Dolce&Gabbana cologne, depending on what type of shop you're currently at.
9. Back in '03/'04, you were at the nb website, reloading OVER and OVER, waiting for "Presence" to premiere.
10. You spend your spare time looking for ANY funny nb photos to caption.
11. You can think of a great addition to this list.

And an added bonus: one of my favorite captioned photos! Or two, rather; it's a two parter:

That's Pete, believe it or not, back in 1991.
Scary time for the nb.
Those two pics were during a music video of "Taste And See." I think me and Steph are two of an extremely tiny group of nb fans who actually LIKE this song. But I do. Peter was pretty good at rapping back then. XD

That be it.

Hiya, peeps.

What to blog, what to blog...

Oh, yah!
I found this cool vid. I'd embed it here, but embedding this one is forbidden, so stare at it here.

It's hilarious.
Colpa still has his sense of humor. Even as a security guard. And when hitting a golf ball into a lake, strumming a guitar, catching a fish, on the cell phone... the man will do anything.

And, in case you're interested, the song playing in the background is a PC3 song called "Big Boy," as often mentioned in the lyrics played. If you want the album with that song on it, good luck! You'll need it.
See, it's not an American album, it's Aussie. The album has to be imported. Which is annoying, cuz I really, really like that song...

Anyways...

BlogThings

I've discovered blogthings awhile back, and the quizzes on there are pretty interesting. Some of 'em, anyway. Others are either somewhat obscene or just plain weird. >=\

Here are a couple...

You Are a Believer

You definitely believe in God - and you're very unwavering in your religious beliefs.

In fact, religion and spirituality are definitely big parts of your life.

Religion shapes how you view right and wrong, as well as the decisions you make.

It's hard for you to imagine how your life would be without your beliefs.

Your Thinking is Concrete and Sequential

You are precise, orderly, and realistic.

You tend to get to the point and get things done.

Difficult, detailed work is easy for you. You take things step by step.

Time limits aren't a problem for you either. You work well with deadlines.

What does drive you crazy is any sort of task that isn't precisely laid out.

You don't like anything to be ambiguous. You prefer to deal with the facts at hand.

Your Sensitivity Score: 63%

You are a highly sensitive person. Pretty much everything effects you.

You are tuned into the vibe around you, and someone's bad mood can bring you down.

But you also easily share in someone's joy - whether you know them or not.

You Know Your States

You got 10/10 correct.

You've got a pretty good handle on US geography.

There's a good chance you've visited at least a dozen of the fifty states.

^ And in response to that last one, I've only visited about five states. Four of them, I actually spent more than a day in.

I just wanted to do this. :p :D Enjoy-eth!

Joey

I said in one of the before blogs that I'd talk about my older dog, Joey, and since I have nothing better to do, so I shall.

It all began a couple years back, about... 2003. I remember that we were looking for yet another companion for our other dog, Izzi (who now belongs to one of my uncles), one that would be an inside dog. We turned to a website called PetFinder. There, we found out about a Chihuahua mix named Joey.

At the time, he was 3 years old. And when we went out to Burgaw, NC, to see about him, we learned he was found some time back, wandering down a dirt road, with nowhere to go. From his behavior, his foster mother believed he once belonged to someone who probably abused him.
But he had to be neutered, so we couldn't take him home right then. We had to wait until after his surgery and he had fully recuperated.

I still remember what I did the day before Joey's first day with us. Back then, I was in the 3rd grade and we went on an all-day field trip to Charlotte (NC), and all day, my mind kept wandering back to Joey.

That next day, about 10 AM, Joey was brought to our place. He was understandably nervous, as I recall, but it wasn't long before we got used to him.
But either the first or second night after we got him, I accidentally allowed Joey to pull one of his now-infamous escapes. We did get him back, after about an hour or so of him giving us the runaround.

Now, Joey is about 7, maybe 8 years old. But you wouldn't be able to tell that by his boundless energy.
Since that night, he's pulled countless more escapes. Between then and now, Joey has shared a house with two other dogs. The first one being our black Cardigan Welsh Corgi mix, Izzi, who had been there since I was about six years old, and after one of my uncles decided to take her to his own place, we got another dog, a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix we named Trixy.
She has also escaped with Joey in the most recent attempts. Both dogs are pretty much inseperable, so much that they even respond to each other's names.

Two strange things about Joey:
  • His bark is very deep for a Chihuahua; it sounds kinda like it was a German Shepherd barking instead of a Chihuahua mix.
  • He seems to be waging a war against fleas. He grooms himself, Trixy, Princess (as I've mentioned in an earlier blog), and the furniture he's currently sitting at. It's quite weird.

And now you know about my older dog. :D :D

PIC!!

Oooookaaaayyy...
I won't touch the edges of that sign.

Princess... the Cat

Alright... I left a comment on the blog belonging to Nonohoicha, the gal formerly known as Phika (XD) that said my next blog would be about my cat... so, I shall!

Let's go ahead and get something straight: I have FOUR cats... one is Siamese, the other three are tabbies. Variations of tabbies. A black tabby, a brown tabby, and a yellow tabby. The one I'm speaking of is the BROWN tabby.

We found her at, of all places, a YARD SALE. Where everything was FREE. She was sitting in a cage with two siblings, and she was the sickly runt... I think. She was also semi-wild. And she went to great lengths to make sure we knew that.
Hence her first name... "Hissy." Poor cat had to live with that name for a very long time. We eventually moved her from a small HAMSTER cage... to a bigger RABBIT cage, as she got bigger. And I was always the one who let her out to explore. So she started warming up to me. I liked that. :)

We recently renamed her "Princess," and that what she's been known as ever since. Better than her old name.

She is, quite simply, MY cat. She likes me a lot... inside the house, she's the only one that will allow me to come anywhere close to her. She turns into a purr motor when I take her into my room... she likes it there. Not really sure why.
Perhaps it's because my dog really likes her. My older dog, Joey (I'll be sure to blog his story at a later date) warmed up to her as well... being that he's waging an all-out WAR against fleas, he grooms her almost every time they encounter each other. I like that, too. So they are MY dog and MY cat. Yes, it seems selfish, but it wasn't my choice... I just love animals.

So, yeah. That's Princess.

:)
