No, the title doesn't have anything to do with the post. And no, I'm not advertising Ricola. :P

Finally, I have something to blog!! And boy, do I have a LOT to say!

First of all...
See the countdown up there? Well... the newsboys are gonna be on the KLOVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY MUSIC CRUISE 2010!!! Wow, that's a mouthful.
Therefore, there is a countdown. It starts roughly this time... twelve months from now.
Now, I'm not entirely sure we're going. I HOPE WE ARE! Because the music cruise is special in one crucial way:

You get to meet the artists at completely random times and actually talk with them freely.

Isn't that cool?! :D

Anyway. We switched TV providers today. From Charter... to DirecTV. What does this mean to you, you say? Well...
We have GMC now.
That's right. I HAVE THE GOSPEL MUSIC CHANNEL.
I shall SHOUT it to the heavens! I HAVE IT! I HAVE IT! AIIIII HAAAVVEE IIITTTT!!

And even more, they were showing FRONT ROW LIVE. WITH THE 'BOYZ!!!!!!!! I took photos. TONS. Of course, you can definitely tell I took the photos from a TV, since some of them are really, really bad. >:(

I have to apologize for the subtitles in that first photo. See, I have the closed captioning enabled on my TV, and since I lost the remote to the thing, I can't turn it off. So, yeah.

And one more thing. I found a review for HWAG on GMC's website. And I found a sentence in that review that shocked me. I quote:

"Lead singer Peter Furler’s slightly odd yet compelling stage presence keeps the eye from wandering."

Slightly odd? Please. This barely does his stage presence any justice. The man's presence is not something that can be described. And even if it could, odd would not be one of the adjectives I'd use.

Yes, netsirK, I know you don't think much of "Saturn," but I think it's growing on me. XD Anyone have 44 cents to put on my iTunes account? Anyone? JUST 44 CENTS!! XD I want it!!

Well, no matter what you think, I like it. Yes, the lyrics don't match their lips for the majority of the video. :( It kinda bothers me, but what can I do about it?

And what makes the song really pretty is how Cooper sings it, with this high voice I never thought any man, let alone John Cooper, could have accomplished.
It just gives the song this sort of... sentimentality, if you will.

Oh, yes! One more thing.

I know, it isn't clear. It's the amazing lop-sided school bus!! The wheels are level with the ground, but the chassis (or shell, or whatever the 'eck it's called) isn't!!

And then my youth leaders swamped Facebook and are making me feel guilty, and as a result, I won't be on Facebook for a while.
I even disconnected my Twitter from my Facebook, so my "tweets" shouldn't update my FB status anymore.

And I did some other things... that I'm not disclosing here... yeah.

So I need prayer. Yes, prayer would be nice. :)

Gasoline

Don't be frightened or confused when watching this video... this IS Skillet! Just... old-school Skillet. Back when Cooper's voice was noticeably higher. He doesn't have the grit in his vocals just yet... back in '96. :P

"Gasoline," so far, is my favorite off their self-titled album.
Yup. That's the cover. A skillet. "We... were... named... after a frying pan."
:P

The one thing I love about the song itself is that weird sound that I think John is making around the beginning and in some other parts of the song. What? I like it.
As for the video, the camera just does not give Cooper any time with it! Like, maybe a second or two, with the rapidly changing frames, and the strobe it looks like they're using... well, it just makes it look more fast-paced.

But I love the video.
