New Year?

2010 is here,
And I predict I will blog even less than I do now. ;)
Hey, if I break that prediction, that's great, but I highly doubt that at this point. :(

Sooo... what's changed with me?
Well, my newsboys fandom? It has decreased... extremely quickly.
The addition of Tait has... caused massive damage to my impression of the nb.
I can't even listen to one of their songs anymore (I have now taken off all but three newsboys songs off my iPod - out of 247).
And even those three, I doubt I'll listen to.

And since the nb destroyed themselves, tons of great things have happened! Not the least of which you have heard about that happened last March... *wink wink*

As all of you know, Torque has come together beautifully and I can't wait until I have mastered the art driving sticks (bad pun? Opinions!).

And as the playlist now demonstrates... my favorite band has been changing since the nb have destroyed themselves. To Skillet, to Falling Up, to RED, to Skillet again, and now... Demon Hunter!
I know. I'm a ball of spinning unpredictability. I have become more fond of... screamo. What? It's fun! All the more fun to figure out what they're screaming and... whisper... along with it. XD

Of course, DH is one of those metal bands that blends melody with their thrashing. And I have to say, it makes for great music. Try some of their stuff! For those who are not netsirK or Smitty, I recommend softer songs like "Thorns," "My Heartstrings Come Undone" (<- most beautiful song ever made by a metal band), or "One Thousand Apologies."
As for netsirK and people with her musical tastes... I recommend "Storm the Gates of Hell" (their only song that is ALL screaming), "Infected," "Through the Black," and "Undying."

Be warned - "Infected" and "Through the Black" are on the original album, which is done in C (musical scale!), and from the sophomore album onward, they do all their songs in B. Went one lower! ;) So... it's gonna sound slightly different.

And... I kinda killed my laptop. :O
So I'm on Dude. Indefinitely. Have to deal with his quirks until my other computer is repaired or I get a new one... *sigh*

Oh, well.

What doth have changed for y'all?

Hey... you...

Ohai.
We interrupt this Saturday to bring to you all a Skillet report.

Today, I bought a CD of theirs.

File:HeyYouILoveYourSoul.jpg
Hey... You. I love your soul.
Tell me if you has the CD, or any tracks from it, and if you like em. So far, it sounds kinda like their debut in terms of Coopah's vocals, but the sound otherwise is really... downright cool.

And then the other Skillet-related mention.
I was digging into JfH's contest archives.
I went into ol' DiBiase's very first mention of a Skillet Concert (FallOut 2003... he sounded very piteous of himself, but you'll have to read it yourselves to see that)... and there was this one mention that I found insanely funny...

"To pump the fans up, they opened with their rousing 'Kill Me Heal' from their 2001 Alien Youth record, followed by 'Best Kept Secret' from their 2000 release Invincible. And while he would hate me for even mentioning this, it was actually borderline cool to watch guitarist Ben Kasica miss his guitar solo cue which lead Cooper to halt the song and insist it be done right as he admitted "This is my favorite part of the song!" before belting out the lyrics 'Let it out!'"

Yeah.
It was funny! You have to admit!

;)
Has a good Saturday.
We now return you to it.

Iiiiiiiiit's mah birfday...

Yes it sure be. :)
I've gotten a whole load of stuff, too... and it hasn't stopped coming...
But my biggest birthday gift this year?

Torquie!
Ain't he the kewlest? Eh? Eh??

Buuuut the front bumper isn't staying on (the above photo of the front was a temporary miracle), and the inside still needs to be cleaned up a little, so it's still a long way away. :)

See what I mean?

Torque and his high-performance twin, AKA my stepbrother's soon-t0-be-former car. I'll let you decide which one is better.

Which do you think is better?

And now for the random photos... from last blog. 'Member?

See? I *do* has a photo of a dead snake!
It's so... lifeless. ;)
I'm not sure what happened with its head, though. Hmm...

I love this photo - do you? ;)
Please excuse the pink. The shirt's black and says Harley-Davidson, so that redeems it.

And the drawing of the Red Snapper. It took a bit, but it... looks really cool.
Do you agree? ;)

Happy happy joy joy, to all... ;)

I Feel So Accomplished

I have officially driven a motor vehicle... accomplishing, I know.
This'll be a short post.

See, I've been terrified to operate such a beast until Driver's Ed. And even then, I was a little nervous.
But then again, what's to be nervous about when operating an automatic? It almost drives itself. :P
It's the manual that is MY car that I have to worry about.

Actually, my mother challenged me to move her car for the trimming of grass... yesterday. I didn't want to, but I got calloused into it, and thus I slammed myself into the driver's seat. And it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be...
Today was a bit harder - going from one property to the other, then back again. Going to wasn't all that bad - going back was a little bit tougher.
Especially when a little dog - that belonged to me *gack!* - ran in front of me. I didn't want to kill her butt, so I put the vehicle in a neutral position and opened the door and call-ed her to me. Dang dog.

So there's my mini post of the day. :)

WE INTERRUPT YOUR SUNDAY

For a humorous excerpt from my church bulletin. :D
Trust me, it's worth it. Get ready to cringe.

"Next Sunday night, VBS (that'd be vacation Bible school, for those who don't know) will kick off here at Myrtle Grove. Kids will be here, loud and fussy! There will be enough noise to keep you from hearing a 747 take off! Toilets and sinks will overflow, floors will get exceedingly dirty, sweaty hands will mark the walls and no flower garden will be safe! And that's NOT A PROBLEM!"

Cuz we want kidz foah Jesus! Yes, we do. :D

Did you like it? Is my church peoplez not humorous?

I knew you'd agree. :D

T-Minus 20-something posts til #300

Hai!
To be honest with y'all, I have nothing to blog. So I'ma post random photos with random words and sentences. I hope you like.
It's a firework! From a 7/4 celebration!
But do you notice the :( in it?
Do you?
If you have, then guess who sent the photo to me.
If you haven't, look really hard, then guess. :)

An excerpt from a chat I had with a bloggy friend. Y'all know her. Guess who she is (my apologize to she-whom-you're-guessing, just in case)

And... something I was very grateful for happening...

Can you guess it?
Can ya, can ya, can ya?

*DUN DUN DUN DUN DU-DU-DUNNNNNN!!!*
It's Dude!
He hath returned from the sparsely-populated Mac Graveyard!
He still freezes, yes, but a lot less than he used to. :D And his battery doesn't spontaneously die anymore! Because he has a new one.
His old one?
That's the back of it. >:) My mother had a ball with what the repair people wrote on it.

Now... comment! :D
